Snowflakes...

What do you do on a typical sunny SoCal Saturday?  Play in the snow!  Or at least take some pictures of the "snow storm" in the Burbank Costco parking lot:
f3.5, 1/30
I happened to be out and about last Saturday, taking a few snapshots with a Vivitar Series-1 70-210 f/3.5.  I just wanted to get some quick shots to test it out.

Sun Dancing...

In honor of Super____ Weekend, I will give everybody a much needed break and not mention the Super____ at all.  See, I don't even type the whole word!

Instead, let's consider the Sundance Grand Jury award winning movie Like Crazy.  It was shot on a Canon 7D and recently purchased by Paramount Pictures...

A Filmmaker Is...

We may be in a video/film revolution, but that encompasses all kinds of filmmakers and attitudes.  Here's a definition of filmmaker:
Also called moviemaker.  A producer or director of motion pictures, esp. one working in all phases of production:  "...the leading young filmmakers of France."
Does that sound like you?  If you shoot video, you are making motion pictures.  You are a filmmaker.  You just want to create something that somebody will watch and hopefully benefit from in some way.

The Show...

ClassicalGlassHD.com was at the Bargain Camera Show in Pasadena in Sunday.  The show was a great success and I met a lot of great people and cool customers.  This show has just about everything you can imagine, so I highly recommend checking it out if you live in the SoCal area.  Special thanks to Anton for squeezing us in!

The next show is January 9th, and we plan on attending.  We should have some more great lenses and a few surprises!

So mark your calenders and check out the show...
